This is a Southwestern / Native American style belt buckle featuring a Thunderbird motif crafted with crushed stone chip inlay work (turquoise and coral/pipestone set in epoxy resin or silver channel borders. Navajo or Zuni style chip inlay techniques, widely produced in the 1970s–1980s. Silver-tone metal plate likely nickel silver, ALPACA, or sterling overlay; back is unmarked/unsigned, turquoise and red coral chip inlay. Lightweight for women. Pre-owned. The turquoise and red coral chip inlay remains tight and intact with no obvious missing chips or major epoxy degradation. The silver-tone bird figure and stamped fan accents show light surface patina and wear consistent with age. Good structural shape.
